Before, getting started meant connecting your own crypto wallet, such as Rabby, MetaMask, or Trust Wallet. Now there is a simpler option: create a wallet in Oxygen. It is built on Privy, sign-in works through email, and donations arrive in the wallet attached to your page.

What this gives streamers

The new setting removes the most annoying barrier for a web2 user: you do not need to install a separate crypto wallet before enabling donations. You create a page, choose the wallet option, receive donations, and can show alerts in OBS.

You can receive donations without manually confirming every payment. If you later want to send funds from the wallet, you will need a network fee: ETH on Base or BNB on BNB Chain.
